The Webparts Catalog is designed specifically to help equipment owners find parts for their equipment. More than just a
web based catalog, Webparts provides language support for many of the major languages of the world; fourteen in all.
Additionally, the information that is displayed will directly correlate to the catalog information in the Dealer's catalog
program, PowerView. Because of it's broad international reach, Webparts has been specifically designed to reduce help desk
calls by utilizing development standards for maximum operating system and web browser compatibility. Updated on a monthly
basis, Webparts displays only the most current catalog information.
Webparts allows customers to browse for and select needed parts and submit their request to a dealership for fulfillment.
However, the parts fulfillment can be daunting at times. Considering re-manufactured parts, Gold Value parts,
substitutions, discontinued items and related parts, dealership involvement is more important than ever. Dealerships
bring the knowledge and experience necessary to fulfill the customer's parts needs completely. Dealers now have the
opportunity to complete the order using substitutions, kits or Gold Value parts as the customer requires.
Dealership Integration with Webparts
Dealerships are the interface to the customer in the equipment manufacturing buisiness. Therefore, integration with
dealership systems has been a cornerstone in the building of Webparts. Webparts allows dealerships with Dealer Management
Systems and e-commerce systems to integrate with regard to pricing and on hand information. However, many dealerships
do not utilize any of these systems. Webparts provides 3 methods for Dealership integration whether or not there is a
management system.
Dealer Management System (DMS) Integration
Years of work has gone into establishing relationships and standards with DMS providers to enable the exchange of
important stocking and price information. Dealers who utilize management systems are able to provide their retail
customers pricing in real time and stocking levels via the Webparts Catalog. Additionally, quotes requested by
customers are automatically sent to the management system where the Dealership can fulfill and complete the order.
Integrated Shopping Cart
Dealerships that have built their own e-commerce site that allows retail customers to order, price and purchase products
from their web site can also use Webparts. Webparts can be configured to send orders directly to the Dealership's
e-commerce shopping cart. In this manner, the dealership will receive the most up to date catalog information but will
also be able to continue to use their existing e-commerce solution.
E-mail order processing
For those dealerships that have not employed a management system or e-commerce site, quote requests are sent via e-mail.
The quote is requested by the customer and the dealership can respond in a more conventional way. However, upgrades to the
system have improved this process quite extensively allowing for more interaction between the customer and dealership.
See the New Features section below for more information.
New Features
As is customary at Powerview Associates, we have upgraded our Webparts service to improve the bottom line of our
manufacturers and their dealerships. Constant feedback from all corners of the manufacturer and dealership network allow
us to continually upgrade our systems to improve our service.
Order Processing
Webparts now includes a feedback mechanism that allows for better communication between the dealership and the customer.
When a customer requests the quote, the dealership receives it. As the dealership opens, modifies/corrects the quote, they
can insert custom parts into the quote that do not appear in the catalog. This allows Dealerships to include 5 gallons of
oil and a bag of rags into the estimate even though they do not appear in the catalog. When the dealership has completed
the modifications, they set the status of the quote to 'final quote' and the customer can then approve the finalized quote
making it an order.
Credit Card Acceptance
As a natural progression to order processing, Dealerships who acquire a Merchant Account with Google are now able to have
their customers complete their order upon approval of the final quote. This means that the Webparts catalog enables a
complete e-commerce solution for equipment and support sales at dealerships.
